Name: Arctursus

Description:
When it is born, this bear-like creature’s fur is gray, with a cloudy, full moon night coloration. As it grows, the gray area diminishes, giving place to a pitch black fur that sports white star-like dots. As the creature gets near its final days, the black gets lighter, until the creature ends up with a clear blue fur, and soon after dies. The star patterns are different on each specimen, and some relate they have even seen arctursi where one of the white dots is big enough to resemble a moon, or is irregularly shaped, resembling a comet. Unlike its fur, their claws and teeth remain always white.

Origin:
Arctursi can be found on snow covered lands, from the arctic flatness to the highest mountains. Nocturnal by nature, it has a mysterious connection to the starry skies.

Natural Weapons:
-Freezing paws and teeth (close combat, hampers movement/freeze for some time, deal normal and ice damage).
-Icy breath (mid range, ice damage, hampers movement/freeze for some time);
-Eclipse (global effect, literally turns day into night: darkening the track, thus making it hard for creatures without night vision to see, sets up an opportunity to focus the star beam).
-Star Beam (long range, straight beam (affects enemies on its path), fair amount of damage, light based attack, negates enemies skills and abilities for some time, cannot be used often, has a build up period (needs to focus star light), and has a long cool down, can only be built up under darkness (natural or not) – for mature arctursi only, as it needs the constellation patterns on its fur to focus the starlight: the more stars it has in its fur, stronger the effects are.).
